Cannot uninstall msn messenger to reinstall, error: hr: 0x80070643
i bought new system at mine home and i have installed the windows 7 on mine system. Yesterday night i have tried to installed the msn messenger, to do this first i downloaded the msn messenger form official website but while downloading i got the blue screen and after that i installed the msn and installed successfully but after that I went to my Programs and Features to try to uninstall the messenger will not let me uninstall at all. Not even you can click on the repair as the repair is not there when I click on Messenger. I tried downloading messenger returned to say there, but not. Can anyone help on how to reinstall the msn messenger?

I would like to suggest you the following steps to install the msn, to do this you don’t need to download the msn again. To do this follows the steps below. First you need to disable the user account control and then you can install the msn. First make hit on the start and then go to the run. Under the run type msconfig on the text box and then press enter after that go to the tool tab and then click on the Disable UAP/UAC and then press launch button. Now open the command prompt to this go to start and then go to the run and under run type cmd and then presses enter. Now on the command prompt type the following and then press enter:-
regsvr32 softpub.dll
Wintrust.dll (file doesnt exist)
Initpki.dll (file doesnt exist )
Dssenh.dll (file doesnt exist )
Rsaenh.dll
Gpkcsp.dll
Sccbase.dll
Slbcsp.dll
Mssip32.dll
Cryptdlg.dll
When you complete all this close your command prompt and then go to the add/remove program and then reinstall. I hope this could help you lot.

I would like to suggest you to perform the Windows Install Clean Up so that you can solve your issue. To perform this you need to download the Windows Install clean up. Go to the some official website and then download the Windows Install Clean Up and after that save it on the desktop and then run the downloaded files. When you complete the performing the Windows Install Clean Up and after that go to the some official website and then download the msn messenger and i hope this could help you lot to solve your issue.

According to me you need to run the System File Checker and so that you can remove the all corrupted files and then again install the fresh software. To do this first make hit on the start and then go to the run, now under the run program type cmd and then hit OK button and now you will get the command prompt. Now under the command prompt type sfc/scannow and press enter to perform the System File Checker. Now when you complete the scanning, close your all program and then restart your system and then reboot the system and after that reinstall the msn messenger and i hope this will help you lot.
