Dell dock language file failing to load
I am using a Dell laptop. An error message dialog box comes up saying that the language file dell dock which is necessary for its operation has failed to load and it insist that I have to check my Dell Dock installation. As I had various problems arising on my laptop, I had installed Windows vista on it, but now I am not able to restart the Dell Dock. Also, I am unable to find required installation file or programs for the same. Give suggestions.

Dell Dock is Dell’s software and not Window’s or Window Vista’s software. Contact Dell Direct Stores or their technical support staff and state your queries regarding your laptop with them. They will provide you more valuable information to solve your problem. They will give you require files and do the necessary installations to help you in getting your problem solved. Also they will give you updated files required to run your laptop efficiently.

I had the same problem using a new Dell Studio XPS 435 MT with Vista problem with me sometime back, I had called Dell technical support for the same and they told me to reinstall Window vista and all the programs from scratch. Try reinstalling it from the dell website. I hope you got the necessary details or information in regards to your problem. I know this does not work as the perfect solution for you. But at least give it a try.

Re: Dell dock language file failing to load
I assume you have a Dell Docking station along with a Dell notebook. If you have applied power to the docking station and connected your notebook to it, you are pretty much done. Windows will detect the docking station automatically and there is very little you, as a user, have to do to get it to work. If the docking station (or the port on the bottom of your notebook) is defective, your notebook will not detect the docking station.

Lets give it a try to fix the dell dock. Just run services.msc and look for Dock Login. Once you get it, click it twice and see if its set to disabled. If yes, than click the drop down menu and select Automatic. Click ok and reboot the system. Hope it works properly this time.
